Hosting 126 weddings and civil partnerships last year, the Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel in Usk continues to be a popular choice for couples seeking a very special venue for their big day. Having won the title of Best Wedding Venue in Wales at the Welsh National Wedding Awards for 2011 and 2012, the privately owned hotel located in Usk, in the heart of the Monmouthshire countryside is looking forward to celebrating 40 years of business in 2014.
With the help of an experienced wedding co-ordinator Carol Knight, couples appreciate the flexibility offered and the exceptional personal service at this stunning Victorian villa which also has an exemplary reputation for the quality of wedding breakfasts – offering wedding guests a choice of menu on the day!
With a wealth of experience, the Glen-Yr-Afon team are specialists and experts in every aspect of wedding planning whilst maintaining an ‘at home’ atmosphere in the family-owned hotel. The Hotel’s Wedding Coordinator takes great pride in her role and believes that the Hotel’s success is due to a dedicated and professional team who share a desire to ensure that couples have the dream day that has often been many years in the planning.
The Glen-Yr-Afon hosts only one wedding on any particular day and is licensed for civil ceremonies in stunning rooms ranging from the intimate library for up to 30 guests to the grandeur of the refurbished 150 capacity ballroom. 2013 has seen a large investment in refurbishment of the venue including many of its guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
The popular Wedding Fayre at the Hotel will take place on Sunday 27th October 2013 between 12noon and 4pm. (Free Admission).
